Where it is now

Well, i'm nearly 4 months in. I arrived in Canada on the 9th of May 2010. I've had a great summer here; I've had some beers and bing bong banger and i've ridden the hole off whistler, among many other things. I'm working in Eco Outdoor Sports on broadway. Plan now is to still look for design work & perhaps return home at the end of the year. I'm happy.

Ah JEEYAAAZUSSS!

Visas still aren't out. I've been in suspense for the last couple of weeks. It's pretty frustrating not knowing whether you are going or not. I just want to get on with it damn it! Just release the visas so i can gerr-bleedin-on wirrih!

Torturing Ourselves

The summer has ended. Electric Picnic, the last of the major summer festivals, was on last weekend. (Mark, Karl & I gave the finger to the man and went Friday night and Saturday by snaking our way in). It's getting cold and it's raining. That's a given though - Ireland: It Rains. The days are getting shorter too. As I type i'm on Google Chat to Mark and we are torturing ourselves by looking up all things Canada related as well as a bit of Ireland bashing for good measure. Don't get us wrong, Ireland is a great place but the weather really does have a negative effect. That among other things.

Test Blog

I'm setting up this Blog in untamed anticipation of my travels to Vancouver BC. Plans are to spend a year in Canada with my good friends Mark and Karl and because the excitement has overtaken me i've decided to create a Blog 6 months before I leave! I've never used a web log before therefore I am posting now as a tester to see how to use this. The reason i'm setting up a Blog is so that those at home who want to find out how I'm doing can log on to my Blog and check it out.

All going well, future entries will be of me in Vancouver in about 6-8 months time!
